Bread Meats Bread - Great Western Road, Glasgow

Converting this former bank set in the heart of Glasgow's west end, had its challenges in this listed building. Our first challenge was to lift 20 tonnes of safes out from the basement. Next was the repair of intricate Cornecing details which our dedicated team of plasterers laboured tirelessly like Michelangelo on scaffolding to recreate. Large amounts of external stone repairs and internal removal of walls helped to create what is now one of Scotland's best loved burger restaurants.

Ardnamurchan – Hope Street, Glasgow

The challenge here was to turn what was a dated drinking pub into a stunning contemporary Scottish bar and restaurant. Working closely with the ARKA design studio to source and treat raw woods and combine them with a modern yet traditional twist for a classic yet timeless look we worked together with the client to achieve what has proven to be a Glasgow restaurant of repute. Beannachd leat Ardnamurcham.

East Coast – North High Street, Musselburgh

This involved the creation of both a separate take away and sit in restaurant requiring major structural works on the old whinstone walls that separated the two buildings and the full installation of all new plumbing, wiring, gas supply, before the commencement of the impressive refurbishment which has helped to make East Coast into the Best Seafood Establishment 2022. The quality of the refurbishment had to reflect the history of the brand which has been serving the people of Musselburgh for almost 50 years. Buona fortuna a East Coast.

BABS – West Nile Street, Glasgow

This refurbishment involved the two storey conversion of a former iconic hairdressing salon into an authentic Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of the city centre. Mixing a fusion of east meets west Babs was founded. Intricate tiling details were matched against delicate metalwork in the restaurant whilst the open plan kitchen layout served to authenticate the smells and aromas of the Greek/Turkish cousin.

Trattoria Genova - Glasgow Road, Paisley

When we first entered Genova it reminded us of the Marie Celeste. Old pint glasses half filled with the heady aroma of forgotten place and damp. What then followed was a complete revamp to create Paisleys finest Italian eatery. Delicate tiles, beautiful hand painted wall murals, sumptuous upholstery, stained and lacquered wood finishes wrapped round. The myriad of all new outdoor flowers finished the look. Grazie!

Basils – Leith, Edinburgh

An old neglected pub in the Leith Docks area of Edinburgh sat riddled with damp. With a rabbit warren of a layout it needed opened up and reconfigured. A refurbishment involved taking the building back to its bare bones and sorting the damp issues before anything else could happen. With the surrounding area steeped in maritime history Basils soon evolved into a ship shape contemporary tavern enjoying an easy going vibe. A shop-fit that will stand the test of time.

Leopardo – Fort Shopping Centre, Glasgow

Starting with an empty shell our goal was to create a homely pizzeria perfect for families and friends to enjoy a meal out. With a blank canvas we worked with multi trades from the getgo up against an aggressive timescale. Leopardo was born from the idea of the spots on a leopard matching the pizza bubbles as they baked in the oven. With the walls artistically muralled the brand was born to considerable fanfare in the city.

Bread Meats Bread - Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh

An unloved Chiquitos lay dormant until we moved in to this large out of town unit to work our magic. The goal was to take the existing shopfitting and tweak it to conform with the Bread Meats Bread brand. Working hard to preserve some elements whilst reinstating other areas had its challenges but the end result was superb. Mexican dining had now given way to Scotland’s favourite burger. Ole!

MotorGrill - Pitlochry

An unloved but thriving truckers pit stop was in need of a major revamp by the now second generation owner. Keen to put their stamp on the new cafe a design by BSD involved major internal and external upgrades. Numerous types of cladding and stencilling created what is now an iconic motor truck stop in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The new restaurant is now as dramatic as the surrounding scenery!

Ushas – Merchant City, Glasgow

In the heart of Glasgow's now super trendy Merchants city the brief was to shopfit the downstairs to house an Indian themed restaurant with an upstairs terraced bar serving the coolest people in the city. Working within tight guidelines and a tight site our main challenge was to complete the job without causing major disruption to neighbouring traders.

Tea House - Stirling Road, Larbert

Busy wouldn’t bring meaning to this iconic Chinese restaurant. Completing a full renovation in jig time was the brief. Using sumptuous finishes to enhance the quality of the food and ambience whilst completing the job timeously to mitigate any lost revenue we worked round the clock to achieve the targets set. It’s fair to say Pro Concept delivered on all fronts.

Bing Soul - West End, Glasgow

To create a Korean desert cafe near Glasgow university was the brief. Clean lines and an uncluttered yet warm environment was needed to sell mouth watering deserts to hungry students.

Bread Meats Bread - Lothian Road, Edinburgh

Located on one of Edinburgh's busiest streets we refurbished this eatery using a mixture of old and new to minimise the cost to the client who was looking to open their first store outside of Glasgow. We soon realised that it’s not always about starting from scratch and that by working alongside designers, client’s representatives and our team we can come up with imaginative solutions to make a unit magical without always renewing everything. A true test of our ingenuity.

Cotton House - Glasgow Road, Longcroft

An iconic Chinese restaurant in need of a major refurbishment we picked up the gauntlet to carry out a major works both inside and out for this standalone unit. Up against time to complete, materials were sourced from far and wide and came together in a fusion of east meets west with the main attraction being an enormous fish tank at the entrance.

Bread Meats Bread - North Bridge, Edinburgh

The former Prezzo unit at this iconic site was taken over by Scotland's favourite burger maker. Converting a once bustling Italian eatery into a new burger restaurant required a major makeover in keeping with the brand. We enjoyed the challenge but not the traffic system!

Dixie Chicks - Ashton Lane, Glasgow

In the heart of Glasgow's West End along its renowned cobbled Ashton lane we started to work in a cute cottage style upstairs unit to build a finger licking tasty chicken outlet for the hungry drinkers that pour down the lane. Using natural textures and loads of wooden materials we were all cock a hoop at the final result.

IL PESCATORE - Bridge Street, Paisley

This project involved taking a new build shell and transforming it into one of the finest fish restaurants in Glasgow. The restaurant has a feeling of calm aided by the mixture of real wood, venetian plaster, bespoke curved bar, and bespoke wallpaper. Also next door we created contemporary fish and chip takeaway with complementary finishes.
